Wildways Therapy -  Statement

I am an allied supporter of children, young people and adults who experience compounding life challenges related to their neurodivergence, gender identity, race, ethnicity, sexuality, disability, age or experience of difference or othering in any way. I am passionate about creating, promoting, advocating for and supporting safe therapeutic spaces for all, whether here in my private practice, in my supervision services, consultancy or teaching. I recognise the implicit and explicit impact of being minoritised/marginalised within oppressive systems and care about your experience and safety in the therapeutic space.

I hold with high positive regard, accept, support and stand alongside all LGBTQIA++ humans and uphold their right to exist in safety, peace, joy and autonomy.

I recognise the impact of historical and ever present oppression and violence towards LGBTQIA++ humans and my privilege to have never have experienced this personally across my lifetime, specifically due to my cis, white, hetero identity.

I hold with high positive regard, accept, support and stand alongside all Black, Indigenous, Asian, South Asian and all minoritised/marginalised humans and uphold their right to exist in safety, peace, joy and autonomy.

I recognise the impact of historical and ever present oppression and violence against Black, Indigenous, Asian, South Asian and othered humans and my privilege to have never have experienced this personally, specifically due to my cis, white, hetero identity.

I hold with high positive regard, accept, support and stand alongside all neurodivergent humans and those who have health needs, mental health needs and disabilities. I uphold their right to exist in safety, peace, joy and autonomy.

I recognise the impact of historical and ever present oppression and violence towards ND/Disabled humans and my privilege to have had different/protected experiences of this personally across my lifetime, specifically due to my cis, white, hetero identity.
